February is Here!!

Wow its already February! January went by quickly and winter is here to stay for at least another two months. House prices have skyrocketed and its looks like they are going to continue along this trend. It seems more and more people are moving further away from the downtown core and heading towards the suburbs. Country homes have also seen a major spike in prices – Greely, Osgoode, Kemptville, Metcalfe have seen significant price increases. If you are still on the fence about buying, don’t delay any further. If you are planning on selling, there couldn’t be a better time!

Local Restaurants

It has an incredibly challenging time for local businesses, especially restaurants and fast-food joints. With the on-going lockdowns and restrictions, many of our favourite places to eat continue to struggle financially and some have been forced to shut down. I encourage people to continue supporting your local restaurants and coffee shops by ordering take-out until we can all go back to normal – hopefully, some day soon. Here are some of my top 5 favourite restaurants that I highly recommend you check out:

Zizi’s Kitchen and Wine Bar – 665 Earl Armstrong Road – One of my absolute favourite restaurants, they offer a variety of Mediterranean foods, an amazing steak frites and the best service! 

La Porto A Casa – 3500 Fallowfield Road – Some of the best Italian cuisine in town, amazing chicken parmesan, pizza, and more!

Pinelopi’s Greek Kitchen –4100 Strandherd Drive – A family-owned Greek restaurant, friendly environment, and delicious souvlaki. They also have a one-of-kind roasted red pepper dip with pita bread – a tasty appetizer to go along with your main course!

The Marlborough Pub and Eatery - 2364 Roger Stevens Drive – A great country pub in North Gower. They have amazing wings, quesadilla’s, and the coldest drinks. They also do local delivery!

Napoli's Café - 1300 Stittsville Main Street – The Napolis Special is my go-to pizza here. They have a wide variety of pastas, great appetizers and one of my favourite Italian beers – Moretti.
