Should I wait for interest rates to go down before buying a home? This is a question I get asked quite often. I completely understand people are turned off by today’s high rates especially when compared to what was available during the covid years. The reality is the days of the “2% rates” are over and likely won’t come back for a very long time. The effect of the high interest mortgages are clear as day in the marketplace as the majority of listings have had major price reductions and there is an abundance of inventory due to less demand. The rates are temporary, however these low prices won’t stay low. If there is even 0.5% drop in interest rates tomorrow, this will motivate buyers on the fence to make a move and before you know it, prices will jump. Don’t wait for this to happen, get ahead, and buy a home today. Contact me to get started on your search!

What is an AS-IS sale?

A property listed in “AS-IS” condition typically means there is no warranty, and the home might be in need of repairs. This type of representation is usually found with homes sold under power of sale or estate sales. Be sure to do an inspection and confirm that your lender will fund the financing before moving forward with an offer.

Neighbourhood Feature – North Gower

North Gower is a small community located south of Manotick and nearby to the east neighbourhoods of Kars and Osgoode. The main part of town is the intersection between Fourth Line Rd and Roger Stevens Dr. The Marlborough Pub is a local hot spot that features live music and great pub food. Another great spot is little shop called Kitcheness. They offer baked goods, sandwiches, and breakfast. Homes in the surrounding areas are typically large bungalows on estate lots. The public school is on Church Street and high school students attend South Carleton High School in neighbouring Richmond.  North Gower is a quiet and cute little area with all your essential needs – Perkins Lumber, a convenience store, gas station, pizza shops and more. A great place to consider living if you are looking for to live in the country and you’re only 20 minutes to Barrhaven.
